A shared stay, clearly split
Freedo Stays helps travellers discover and book homestays, villas, cottages, and similar properties offered by independent hosts. Trust and transparency are central to the platform. While Freedo Stays may curate or verify some properties, the accommodation itself is ultimately operated by the host.
The person making a booking must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement. If you are booking for other guests, you are responsible for ensuring they are aware of the rules and comply with the stay conditions.
Hosts are expected to present their properties honestly and keep listing information accurate and reasonably up to date. A booking should substantially match the information shown on the platform. Minor changes due to weather, maintenance, or seasonal conditions are normal, but material changes that affect the stay should be communicated promptly.
Submitting an enquiry or starting a payment does not create a confirmed booking. A booking is confirmed only after the full amount has been successfully paid and Freedo Stays issues confirmation. Until then, dates are not guaranteed to be held unless expressly confirmed in writing.
The booking price includes only the accommodation, meals, amenities, activities, and services clearly stated as included in the confirmed booking. Additional charges, taxes, or optional services are separate and must be clearly identified before payment.
Guests may request extra meals or services offered by the host. Unless specifically included in the booking, they are subject to availability, may be charged separately, and are usually payable directly to the host.
Every property may have its own rules about check-in and check-out, quiet hours, alcohol, smoking, pets, visitors, occupancy, parking, children, restrictions, and local community requirements. Guests must follow the rules relevant to their booking and any reasonable on-site instructions.
Guests must act responsibly and respect the host, property staff, neighbours, and local community. Illegal, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, dangerous, or disruptive behaviour is not allowed.
The guest responsible for booking may be liable for damage, loss, or exceptional cleaning beyond reasonable wear and tear, to the extent permitted by law. Claims should be reasonable and supported by evidence where practicable.
If there is a material issue with a property or a serious mismatch with the listing, contact the host and Freedo Stays as soon as reasonably possible. We will review the situation and help determine the appropriate next steps based on the facts and the applicable policy.
